Construction services across the UK

Kilmurn PPS Ltd provides professional construction design and management services to clients across Northern Ireland and the wider areas of the UK. Based in Cookstown, we are an established company with more than 20 years of experience in providing groundwork and construction services. All of the work we undertake is completed in adherence to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007, which is informally known as the CDM Regulations.

The regulations place a number of responsibilities and obligations on a client (the client being the person or organisation for whom the construction work is being carried out). These obligations include:

• To check the competence and resources of all appointees
• Ensure suitable management arrangements for the project, including welfare facilities
• Allow sufficient time and resources for all stages of the project
• Provide relevant information prior to construction to all contractors and designers
• Should the construction work last for more than 30-days or involve more than 500-man hours then the Health and Safety Executive are to be notified of the project (known as notifiable)
• Once a project is notifiable the client also has a number of further obligations to satisfy, one of which is to appoint a CDM supervisor to assist them with their obligations
